We are delighted to invite you to a workshop dedicated to advancing discussions on the use of AI in marine environmental monitoring and assessment. This event aims to bring together businesses (large and small), startups, academia, NGOs, and other stakeholders to explore how AI can help address the growing demands and challenges in this demanding cross-disciplinary field.
Traditional monitoring approaches, such as deploying marine biologists to both collect and assess field data, are becoming increasingly unsustainable due to resource and scalability constraints. Biologists are often expected to do more with less, a scenario that underscores the need for innovative tools to streamline and enhance their efforts. AI offers significant potential to revolutionize marine monitoring by enabling scalable, efficient, and precise data analysis.
However, navigating the complexities of AI can be daunting. Many professionals outside the AI field face challenges in understanding its capabilities and limitations, as well as determining when its application is most appropriate. This workshop aims to bridge that gap by providing insights, fostering dialogue, and encouraging collaboration among participants.
Join us to explore the opportunities and challenges of using AI to enhance marine environmental monitoring and assessment. Together, we can uncover solutions to protect and manage our oceans more effectively.
We look forward to welcoming you!
